Re: Emerald Mine Club levelset completion progress

Hi Rap, It only took me 20 months to notice you mentioned my name :-) I've been in contact with Sandancer of EMC GB , his real name is Bryan Waters, I could pass you his email address if you want. I thought it maybe would be nice to do a little article on the most active EM Clubs, this year marking ...

hi RAP Indeed, getting a common file format is not that simple as it may sound :-) with little effort you get a format that is perfect for 90% of the cases and then all the subtle differences come creeping in adding complexity over complexity over complexity. and the last 2% is almost impossible to ...

Whoops, sorry about that, moved everything to another server and forgot to update some stuff.

http://www.emeraldmines.net/BDCFF/ is back up.

Thanks Logicdeluxe I'll get the specs at http://www.emeraldmines.net/BDCFF/ up to date as soon as possible. I haven't really followed the discussion in this thread the last months as it seemed Boulderdash-centered (obviously), which I don't know much about. Funny how everybody runs into specific nic...

Ah, thanks holger I'll look into it Interesting thread ! about the spamming. Hmm - manual spamming? That's very hard too counter. The BDCFF proposal can be locked down to the people with an interest in updating it (maybe with a password) But protecting a general forum against human manual spammers ....

Arg - Stupid!
I cleaned it up and removed the write-privileges to the database.

Updates are no longer possible now - untill I've setup a small captcha system.
(Which will be at least 2 weeks as I'm on holiday)

Stupid Spammers!

The written word, I hate it :-) It so final!

My intentions are very well, but my time very limited (like everyone else, offcourse)

Hey RAP! Cool Wiki ! I thought that Martijn was planning a Boulder Wiki , which would be great. About the Emerald Mine Club: All the games on that site are allready on this forum. There are still some missing mines however that nobody seems to have (including the EMC) They're listed on http://www.em...

Some goods points there ! - Avoid & , <, > in map sections. (and possibly ", [, ]; and = too, allthough a parser shouldn't be looking for those in a [map] [/map] section.) Agreed: in my flash engine I convert supported BDCFF section to XML to load/parse. It would be so much nicer if a map section wo...

If I remember correctly a EM exit is destroyable. Yep, in EM an exit (both closed and open) is destroyable. Therefore, looks like the exact same element as the BD_exit, no? no need to define a separate element for that. @Steffest: To avoid any confusion, I can rename all defined EM_xxx elements for...

OUTBOX and OUTBOXopen are more BD style (unfortunately there is no "bd_exit" in RND, so the normal one is used) EM_EXIT and EM_EXIT_CLOSED are more EM style (look to the image). Yes, but the BD outbox and the EM outbox behave the same, so this is the same element (allthough they have different appe...

Hey ! Whoo! huge update! There are 689 elements defined now. You are right about the get/post update thing: I added a field this week and forgot to test for empty values. It's working now. Example: http://www.emeraldmines.net/bdcff/default.asp?action=updateobject&id=455&name=PIGGY&BDCFF2=pi&BDCFF1=&...

Maybe a seperate button which check for duplicates is better. Because for insert, I want to insert the element (automatically), dont take a look for duplicates. Making adjustment to 2-byte-code dupl's later by hand. That's done: http://www.stef.be/projects/boulderflash/bdcff/default.asp?action=bdcf...

Thanks Holger! a very complete list indeed! A quick comparison gives me these missing titles (Sadly I don't have any of them, in fact, I'm not really sure they aren't dupes, nor that they actually exist) gold_nuggets_3 gold_nuggets_4 gold_nuggets_5 crazy_mine_02 sky_mine_09 Diamonds Mine (apparantly...
